Why Targi Kielce Hackathon and the search for innovations in the field of floor surfaces for the exhibition industry?
Trade fair centers around the world face challenges in terms of zero emissions, implementing a circular bioeconomy model, relying on the secondary raw materials market, energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint and organizing sustainable events. Organizers of trade fair events feel environmental and social responsibility for each element of the chain of connections between stakeholders.
It is at trade fairs that innovative, sustainable solutions appear and are then scaled to other industries. The exhibition industry is constantly looking for alternatives to materials and raw materials for the construction of elements of pavilions and stands – biodesign, recycled design, carbon fibers, mycelium, biodegradable materials.
The use of materials that can be recycled, are non-toxic and biodegradable – this is one of the key pillars of the transformation of trade fair facilities into places that are zero-emission, self-sufficient and environmentally sustainable.
The possibility of Targi Kielce replacing its existing carpets with a bio-economic product solution that also implements the principles of circular bioeconomy will reduce the impact of the Company’s business activities on the natural environment and contribute to Targi Kielce’s active involvement in the green economic transformation of the trade fair and exhibition industry.
The Company’s initiatives for sustainable trade fair events also have the potential to increase the environmental awareness of exhibitors, of whom currently only 23% take environmental factors into account when preparing to participate in trade fairs.
