NEW CHALLENGE IN BIOBOOSTERS HACKATHON

We are very happy to announce that we have started preparations for new bioeconomy hackathon which will be organized by PRO CIVIS Foundation: REFAL Hackathon “Maximizing the value of apple biomass”.

REFAL Group, a leading fruit and vegetable producer from Sandomierz Region in Poland, is challenging innovators to find new ways to utilize apples damaged by weather. While perfectly good for consumption, these apples can’t be sold fresh due to cosmetic imperfections.

The Challenge is to provide an innovative product or technology solutions that could valorize up to 6,000,000 kg of apple biomass annually.

Winners gain the chance to partner with REFAL on a long-term project, potentially leading to the implementation of a new technology or production line.
